Where is the water extracted?
The Artesium spring water is extracted without contact with the environment straight from a source not far from the Riekstukalns ski resort. The water has a long shelf life and an increased pH of 7.6 -8.1.
In April 2019, Artesium water received the status of spring water.
Artesium natural water is drinkable in its original state. It does not need to be cleaned and filtered. From the source to the bottle, the water flows through certified food grade pipes. It is not collected and stored until bottling in other containers.
What is artesian water?
Water, which is located in the subsoil layer between two layers of rocks that do not allow water to pass through itself, is called Artesian. The Latin name of the French province of Artois is Artesium, in this province such waters have been used since the 12th century. Therefore, this type of natural water has received a common name – Artesian waters. The peculiarity of artesian water is that the thickness of the earth creates excess pressure, which allows access to these waters without the use of pumping equipment. Groundwater from wells is obtained with the obligatory use of pumps, and artesian water is called pressure water.
Artesian waters do not interact with the surface. Therefore, unlike soil or soil, they are not contaminated. This makes it absolutely safe for both adults and young children.
The chemical composition of artesian water is ideally balanced by nature itself, since there are no organic substances in the water. Artesian water has not only a unique composition and taste, but also useful properties, since its regular use helps:
- to establish the work of the nervous system;
- normalize the acid-base balance in the body;
- strengthen bones;
- to accelerate the process of recovery of the body after physical exertion;
- improve the condition of tooth enamel.
